Naomi Osaka wins her second Australian Open with victory over Jennifer Brady
Tennis legend Mats Wilander believes Naomi Osaka can win 10 Grand Slam titles. But what are the Open champion’s goals for 2021 and beyond?
Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka doesn't have ideas of grandeur despite predictions of a 10-slam dynasty.
Seven-time grand slam winner Mats Wilander declared after watching the Japanese star brush past American Jennifer Brady 6-4 6-3 that she would quickly be in double figures of major title victories.
Osaka's second Australian Open title took the 23-year-old's career total to four.
"I'm taking it in sections," Osaka said.
"I have four right now, I will try to go to five but after five I think I will divide 10 so look at seven or eight.
What an incredible performance to win the AO title @naomiosaka. I wish I could have been there in the stands to see you win your 4th major, youâre an amazing champion. @jennifurbrady95, you had a great summer Down Under. Itâs tough now but keep striving, your time will come. ð

"I don't like looking at the big picture, I like to live in the moment.
"I don't want to weigh myself down with pressure and expectations. I can only control what I can control, which is working hard and giving myself opportunities."
Osaka moved to No.2 on the world rankings behind Australia's Ash Barty after her win on Saturday night.
"Honestly I don't really think about the ranking at all, I don't play the most tournaments on tour," she said.
"My goal is to be consistent this year and not have a huge drop off in the middle section, in June and July, like I usually do.
"It (the No.1 ranking) will come if I play well, that's what I tell myself."
Osaka revealed she had been extremely nervous in the lead-up to the final against Brady who was playing in her first grand slam final.
She said the feeling of raising the trophy in Rod Laver Arena was completely different to two years ago when she defeated Petra Kvitova.
"It's very different. I feel like I know how much hard work you have to put into this," she said.
"The first time I won both trophies (Australian Open and US Open), in a way I was just a kid that didn't know what I was doing.
"I wasn't appreciating the tour and how hard it was to get to the position I am right now.
"The ups and downs of my career have definitely opened my eyes."

Osaka wins Australian Open 6-4 6-3
There it is. Naomi Osaka is now a two-time Australian Open champion and a four-time Grand Slam champion.
What a tournament it has been for her.
Remember when she was down match points to Garbiñe Muguruza? Fast forward a week and she is the champion.
Absolute champion!
Set 2: *Osaka 5 v Brady 3
That’s perfect from Brady. She does exactly what she needed to in that game – hold at ALL costs.
Now all eyes turn to Osaka. She has a chance to serve for her second Australian Open trophy.
She’s been brilliant from start to finish. What has she got here?
Set 2: Osaka 5 v Brady 2*
Osaka can feel a little better about things now. She holds serve and steadies the ship.
She’s now 5-2 up and has three chances to take this one home.
One thing Brady does have is the crowd on her side. They are desperate for her to keep this going. If she can hold here and then get into the Osaka serve, look out.
Set 2: *Osaka 4 v Brady 2
Is it too early to say it’s game on? Maybe a little.
But there is no doubt Brady has lifted in this second set. What is Osaka thinking now?
She’s gone from a double break up and a hand on the trophy to now being back in a fight.
She’s still in the absolute dominant position. But is she thinking like that?
Set 2: Osaka 4 v Brady 1*
Hold up. We aren’t done just yet.
Brady gets one of the breaks back – and that really came out of nowhere.
She’s clearly decided that if she is going to go down, she’s going to go down swinging.
