Naomi Osaka wins her second Australian Open with victory over Jennifer Brady
Tennis legend Mats Wilander believes Naomi Osaka can win 10 Grand Slam titles. But what are the Open champion’s goals for 2021 and beyond?
Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka doesn't have ideas of grandeur despite predictions of a 10-slam dynasty.
Seven-time grand slam winner Mats Wilander declared after watching the Japanese star brush past American Jennifer Brady 6-4 6-3 that she would quickly be in double figures of major title victories.
Osaka's second Australian Open title took the 23-year-old's career total to four.
"I'm taking it in sections," Osaka said.
"I have four right now, I will try to go to five but after five I think I will divide 10 so look at seven or eight.
What an incredible performance to win the AO title @naomiosaka. I wish I could have been there in the stands to see you win your 4th major, youâre an amazing champion. @jennifurbrady95, you had a great summer Down Under. Itâs tough now but keep striving, your time will come. ð

"I don't like looking at the big picture, I like to live in the moment.
"I don't want to weigh myself down with pressure and expectations. I can only control what I can control, which is working hard and giving myself opportunities."
Osaka moved to No.2 on the world rankings behind Australia's Ash Barty after her win on Saturday night.
"Honestly I don't really think about the ranking at all, I don't play the most tournaments on tour," she said.
"My goal is to be consistent this year and not have a huge drop off in the middle section, in June and July, like I usually do.
"It (the No.1 ranking) will come if I play well, that's what I tell myself."
Osaka revealed she had been extremely nervous in the lead-up to the final against Brady who was playing in her first grand slam final.
She said the feeling of raising the trophy in Rod Laver Arena was completely different to two years ago when she defeated Petra Kvitova.
"It's very different. I feel like I know how much hard work you have to put into this," she said.
"The first time I won both trophies (Australian Open and US Open), in a way I was just a kid that didn't know what I was doing.
"I wasn't appreciating the tour and how hard it was to get to the position I am right now.
"The ups and downs of my career have definitely opened my eyes."
