THERE were no bigger winners than Tennys Sandgren and Hyeon Chung at Melbourne Park on Monday, with the two causing back-to-back massive upsets on an enthralling day of tennis.

But a few savvy punters weren’t far behind and are set to cash in big time if the magical runs continue.

Sandgren – now a $51 chance to win the men’s title with TAB – was $1001 pre-tournament.

On January 19 one punter had a $50 wager at $501 for a collect of $25,050. At the time, Sandgren was yet to win a grand slam match in his career.

Meanwhile, Hyeon Chung was a $4.25 outsider before taking the court against six-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic.

He knocked the Serb out in straight sets.

Chung is now rated a $15 chance to claim the men’s title and one punter will be richly rewarded if the improbable occurs.

He placed an $800 bet at $251 just over a week ago for a potential collect of $200,800.

Sandgren and Chung will meet in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
