Danielle Collins has taken aim at sports broadcaster Tony Jones, who publicly labelled the American a “brat” after her on-court antics at the Australian Open.

American Danielle Collins has thrown some more fuel on the fire ahead of her next Australian Open match on Saturday night, hitting back at broadcaster Tony Jones.

Jones labelled Collins a “brat” on his 3AW radio show on Friday, the day after Collins made headlines for her provocative post-match taunt to the crowd and press conference performance.

Ever the entertainer, Collins responded to Jones on Instagram: “I love when these old dudes like Tony know the vibe #bratsummer.”Linked to her Instagram story was pop star Charlie XCX’s hit song “360” part of her album titled “Brat”.

Clearly Collins won’t back away from the theatre of the occasion ahead of tonight’s third round match against fellow American Madison Keys on Rod Laver Arena.

Collins then doubled down at Jones on Saturday morning with a follow up Instagram story captioned: “Tony, you know the vibe, I hear you make some fat paychecks also. Sounds like you need a good vacay you poor thing #brat #bratsummer.”

Jones didn’t seem particularly pleased with being called an “old dude”, later saying on Channel 9 that once his shift ended at 2pm he’d “probably have a coffee with Danielle Collins.”

Jones said Collins had “certainly been very active.”
