Check out their best and value bets:
FLEMINGTON
BRAD WATERS (Racenet) Form: 13330
CHAILLOT (Race 7, No.11 – $4)
Chaillot gave a start but hit the line hard in the Cantala last Saturday. She drops back to 1400m for this but is unbeaten over this trip and drops in class.
Value bet: TYCHE GODDESS (Race 3, No.5 – $8.50)
GILBERT GARDINER (Herald Sun) Form: 541s4
HOSIER (Race 1, No.5 – $2.60)
Undefeated in Australia after four starts last preparation before a short break. Looks to have better than average ability and will get us off to a flyer.
Value bet: DECENT RAINE (Race 4, No.7 – $7)
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Racing News Editor) Form: 11120
COLETTE (Race 8, No.9 – $4.80)
Back to her best in the Empire Rose last week, and has the right platform to step up to 2000m.
Value bet: SCISSOR STEP (Race 4, No.2 — $6)
GLENN McFARLANE (Herald Sun) Form: 21111
ZAAKI (Race 8, No.4 – $2.40)
Annabel Neesham wouldn’t be starting him if he wasn’t right, and if that’s the case, he should be winning this as some consolation for his Cox Plate scratching.
Value bet: OUR HEIDI (Race 8, No.4 – $4.80)
SIMON MOY (NewsRacing) Form: 0s120
WARNING (Race 2, No.1 – $2.60)
Shapes well for this with superb third-up form and will thrive in the conditions.
Value bet: COLETTE (Race 8, No.9 – $4.80)
NICK QUINN (TAB) Form: 24116
HOSIER (Race 1, No.5 – $2.60)
Burst onto the Australian scene winning all four starts since relocating including first-up last time by 5½ lengths. Unbeaten over the mile and looks a lovely way for punters to bounce the ball on the final day of the Flemington carnival.
Value bet: SINAWANN (Race 7, No.2 – $6.50)
ROSEHILL
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph) Form: 2311x
DREAM RUNNER (Race 5, No.2 – $3.40)
Dream Runner has had an extended campaign but is extremely consistent despite winning only once in nine starts since June, recording five second placings including his last three in succession. His two most recent runs were a very good second to Yiyi over 2000m at Randwick then a close second to Mightybeel on the Kensington track. He’s very well placed in the Country Classic, drawn to get all the favours from the inside gate and bursting to win a race again.
Value bet: PARACHUTER (Race 4, No.8 – $5)
MATT JONES (Daily Telegraph) Form: 11x34
TRICKY GAL (Race 8, No.6 – $7)
She’s flying and was very unlucky in The Invitation when nothing went right. She deserves a change of luck and it’s hard to see her not doing well here on a soft track.
Value bet: BOWERY BREEZE (Race 6 No.7 – $11)
SHAYNE O’CASS (Daily Telegraph) Form: 222x0
YAMAZAKI (Race 8, No.5 – $8.50)
When and if Yamazaki gets races run at a good clip, she is nearly always the one that unleashes late. She is very much a tempo reliant mare, that’s the risk you take with her but she is as honest as they come.
Value bet: FRANCESCO GUARDI (Race 10, No.10 – $19)
JETT HATTON (Racenet) Form: 17167
BLAZE A TRAIL (Race 9, No.4 – $3.30)
Having his first start for Ciaron Maher and David Eustace. It looks as though Blaze A Trail has returned in good order with two impressive trials in readiness for this, he’s drawn sweetly in barrier two and gets an in form Tommy Berry to ride. Looks the one they have to beat.
Value bet: ECUMENICAL (Flemington, Race 5, No.6 – $41)
EAGLE FARM
TRENTON AKERS (Courier Mail) Form: 64115
WONDERFUL RIRI (Race 8, No.4 – $4.60)
Resuming here but has high-class form around her from the winter carnival where she finished alongside the likes of Exhilarates and Sweet Deal. Shown enough at the trials to suggest she is ready to fire here.
Value bet: BEAN DANCING (Race 5, No.10 – $10)
