Our experts give you an early shot at finding a winner this weekend.

Saturday: RANDWICK (10 races, start 11.15am), CAULFIELD (9 races, 12.05pm), DOOMBEN (9 races, 11.58am), MORPHETTVILLE PARK (9 races, 12.17pm), BELMONT (9 races, 2.14pm). All times EST

CAULFIELD

BRAD WATERS (Racenet)

FOREST DIAMOND (Race 4, No.3 – $3.80)

Hard-fit filly that continues to race well. She drops to 53.5kg after Alana Kelly’s claim and can turn the tables on her opposition on Saturday.

Value bet: FORBIDDEN CITY (Race 7, No.14 – $18)

STEPHEN BRASSEL (National Racing Editor)

KING OF SPARTA (Caulfield Race 8 No 7 – $5.50)

Smart galloper on his day and fitter for first-up run and recent impressive Hawkesbury trial win as he works his way down the eastern seaboard.

Value bet: I’M INNOCENT (Race 6, No.12 – $19)

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Racing News Editor)

SNAPPED (Race 7, No.3 – $3.60)

Filly from the Freedman filly resumes. Nothing went right for her in the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes after two big wins to kick-off her career. Her jumpouts looked very good and she just needs luck from barrier one.

Value bet: OXLEY ROAD (Race 8, No.6 – $6)

GLENN McFARLANE (Herald Sun)

BOOGIE DANCER (Caulfield, Race 2, No.8)

Nice filly who couldn’t have been impressive at Sandown last start. Has Jamie Kah aboard.

Value bet: OXLEY ROAD (Race 8, No.6 – $6)

SIMON MOY (NewsRacing)

OXLEY ROAD (Race 8, No.6 – $6)

Much better than last start in the Monash Stakes on a wet track and prepared to overlook only failure here. Expect to bounce back.

Value bet: AWUPANI PRINCESS (Race 3, No.5 – $7)

ROYAL RANDWICK

MATT JONES (Daily Telegraph)

WAIHAHA FALLS (Race 7 No.2 – $1.55)

He’s come back like a Group horse and has towled them up both times this preparation and should do it again. The $1.55 is short but he should be winning well again.

Value bet: YGGDRASIL (Race 5, No.7 – $7.50)

ADAM SHERRY (Sportsman)

JOJO WAS A MAN (Race 8, No.12 – $3.50)

A progressive horse who has been outstanding in all five runs this campaign. Covered plenty of ground out three-wide and still kept coming to finish a nose second to Taksu in the Winter Stakes on a heavy track over 1400m here at Randwick two weeks ago. He will have no problem stepping up to 1500m and can go one better.

Value bet: YGGDRASIL (Race 5, No.7 – $7.50)

DOOMBEN

TRENTON AKERS (Courier Mail)

MERRILY (Race 3, No.13 – $3.70)

First starter taking on the more seasoned juveniles but this filly is destined for much bigger and better things than this. Was shaping as one of Queensland’s best two-year-old’s before a setback earlier in the season.

Value bet: OCEAN TREATY (Race 6, No.11 – $9)
