MOONEE VALLEY (Thursday night)
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 11231
FENWAY
Race 7, No. 1
Top class mare who ran a gallant fourth in the Australian Cup. Last campaign won the Stocks Stakes this track/distance/class.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80
CONOR WALSH (Black Caviar Scholarship winner).
SHEIDEL
Race 5, No. 2
West Australian speedster who has built a brilliant record across the Nullabor. If she can cross from the outside barrier she will push forward and be very hard to catch in her debut for the Hayes/Dabernig stable.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.80
JESSICA MOODIE (Black Caviar Scholarship winner).
GRANE
Race 5, No. 3
The claim does him a lot of favours and he should be charging home. He has been
performing well this preparation and loves this track.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 11831
SHEIDEL
Race 5, No. 2
Gun WA sprinter now trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig. She’s very quick and the form in Perth looks strong.
TAB fixed odds: $2.80

ROSEHILL
IT’S SOMEWHAT
Race 3, No. 2
Was very impressive taking out the Ajax Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill last start. A talented galloper, It’s Somewhat steps up to 2000m here but this should pose no problems for the gelding. He is taking on a field of stayers being prepared for the Sydney Cup, horses that haven’t won in a long time and others who are out of their grade. A clear top pick.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.50
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 41342
MALAGUERRA
Race 4, No. 2
Highly talented sprinter up from Melbourne. His figures first-up were strong and the stable thought enough of him to run in The Galaxy. Unfortunately they missed a start but lucky for us they’ve elected to run him here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.70
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 81104
OUR IVANHOWE
Race 7, No. 1
Has been set for this and should be peaking following his close-up fifth placing behind Preferment in the Australian Cup. Interestingly, gets the blinkers off for the first time here and Kerrin McEvoy engagement is a positive one.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.40
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 14291
BEATEN UP
Race 9, No. 2
Trial watchers would have been waiting for this horse to step out, I know I have. I am certain Waller has this horse ready to do something on Saturday and that’s despite him being 9s 2-0-0 first-up. The market will tell the story — all I can say is that his trials have been as good as you could get from a beaten horse (no pun intended).
TAB Fixed Odds: $12
DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 15x33
JAMEKA
Race 6, No. 1
Backing up after a strong third behind Tarzino in the Rosehill Guineas. Will go forward and be strong late.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.60
DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 21111
PREFERMENT
Race 7, No. 7
Won the Australian Cup on protest when carried wide in the straight. Drawn well for the Group 1 kings Chris Waller and Hugh Bowman, and will be hard to beat.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.40

CAULFIELD
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun) Form: 518x0
TEARS OF JOY
Race 3, No. 3
In form mare who has been ultra-consistent this campaign and should handle the slight increase in class.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60
SIMON MOY (Superracing). Form: 1x251
MISS PROMISCUITY
Race 5, No. 2
Can be hard to catch but extra distance sure to favour after she motored home first up after bungling start.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.90
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 91281
PETITS FILOUS
Race 4, No. 1
Classy filly resuming from only career defeat and on the back of two sizzling barrier trial victories looks perfectly poised to make a winning return.
TAB Fixed Odds: $1.90

DOOMBEN
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 15134
KRAFTWERK
Race 2, No. 4
Just missed when stepped up to Open company last time and will be better for that. Looks set to get a picnic in front in this field and can zip home quickly, leaving the more staying types with a task to gun him down.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.50
BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: 67273
SIR MOMENTS
Race 2, No. 1
Going head to head with Exelby here, and realise Kraftwerk will get its own way in front. But sometimes a good horse is just a good horse, and Sir Moments put the writing on the wall for this with a fabulous first-up performance on the Gold Coast. Extra distance suits here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.20
BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 67414
HAPPY EVENT
Race 3, No. 3
Trial since her first-up victory was very good and she clocked quicker time than the open trial when scoring by 7.5 lengths at the Sunshine Coast. Drawn well and looks hard to beat again.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3
MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS
OAKBANK
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 18221
CELTIC PRINCE
Race 2, No. 1
Tough staying type who ran home powerfully in quality race when second to Signoff in Lord Reims Stakes then always well back in the Adelaide Cup. Preparing for hurdle race on Monday and is sure to be strong at end of 3600m trip here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3
