CAULFIELD (9 races, start 12.25pm),

MORPHETTVILLE (8 races, 1.08pm),

Race 1: Wedrive.com.au Plate (1400m)

Two talented fillies clash in SEBRIKKA (2) and LEOTIE (3) who both shape as Group class fillies. Sebrikka was beaten for speed but really surged late to get up and win over 1200m at Caulfield last start. Blinkers go on again replacing winkers. Step up to 1400m is ideal. Leotie flew home with I Am A Star but couldn’t run that filly down when second over 1100m at Caulfield last start in the second fastest last 200m for the day. PERFECTLY SAFE (4) led last start when just run down by smart gelding Hey Doc when just beaten at Sandown last start over 1200m. Likely to lead again. SMART AS YOU THINK (5) resumes after showing a lot of talent in two starts earlier this year. Top Tassie filly HOT DIPPED (1) was trapped wide when first-up at Caulfield.

Suggested bet: Sebrikka the win.

Race 2: Catanach’s Jewellers Handicap (1400m)

PRINCE OF BROOKLYN (9) was given a great ride by Damien Oliver when narrow winner this track and distance last start breaking a run of three consecutive seconds. He drops five kilos on this win and has race fitness on his side. Should settle closer in this smaller field. HE’S OUR ROKKII (4) resumes. He has a touch of class and should finish off strongly. DEL PRADO (7) will get back and also needs the speed on. JUNGLE EDGE (8) was strong winning on Wednesday at Sandown. Likely leader and is racing in great form.

Suggested bet: Prince Of Brooklyn the win.

Race 3: Hockingstuart Plate (1400m)

MAJESTIC LASS (11) was impressive winning over 1200m at Caulfield two starts ago before getting back too far on leader dominated track at Sandown when ran home strongly for fourth behind Refuse To Lose. She’s looking for 1400m now. DANIELA ROSA (8) found the 1800m too far last start at Flemington. Freshened since that run and she has a touch of class. MY SISTER LIL (5) loomed to win last start at Flemington but was out-kicked by Nadeem Lass. Should now be ready to win. LAKE COMO (13) resumed from a spell with tough win in good field at Geelong Synthetic. SHE’S CLEAN (1) is always a chance in this type of race. ANTELUCAN (6) is a classy mare resuming.

Suggested bet: Majestic Lass the win.

Race 4: Moniek Sambor Tile Importer Handicap (1200m)

Good benchmark 78 event. BLACK VANQUISH (17) looked a potential topliner as a two-year-old which included win here but didn’t fire as a three-year-old. Might be back to his best judging by recent easy Flemington jump-out win. With only 56.5 kilos will take beating. BADAJOZ (12) has been racing consistently. Can do a few things wrong but looks well placed in this. BON AURUM (2) was a Group 3 winner at this track this time last year. He resumes. THE JUSTICE LEAGUE (3) is a last start New Zealand Group 2 winner who has since joined the Darren Weir stable so is a big watch. Stablemate CAMDUS (6) returned to 1200m last start at Flemington and enhanced his record at that trip with a win. Four starts over that distance for three wins and a second. SMART DART (4) is racing well.

Suggested bet: Black Vanquish each-way.

TAB Racing Update - Resimax Stakes

Race 5: The Resimax Stakes (1100m)

Race should set up well for Caulfield specialist MISS PROMISCUITY (13) who should get a good on pace run. She won her last two starts at this track. Former smart NSW sprinter HELLBENT (6) made a winning debut for Weir at Sandown recently. Oliver will ride him. UNDER THE LOUVRE (1) resumes after his last-start Stradbroke win. Always races well on his home track. Another backmarker SHIRAZ (2) had no luck last week at Moonee Valley as he was blocked for a run for the entire straight. Sydney sprinter REDZEL (4) excels at this distance and is the likely leader. SANTA ANNA LANE (3) is a talented sprinter resuming. First-up winner at Group 3 level this track last campaign.

Suggested bet: Miss Promiscuity each-way.

Race 6: HDF McNeil Stakes (1200m)

BLUE TYCOON (5) overcame difficulties to win at Morphettville two starts ago and although green at Caulfield last start won with something in hand. Bolted in recent Flemington jump-out. Stablemates SEABURGE (2) and HIGHLAND BEAT (3) also have strong chances. Seaburge won the VRC Sires Produce last campaign and always appealed as being a better horse as a three-year-old. Highland Beat is racing consistently. Sydney colt DEFCON (1) showed a lot of talent as a youngster. Looked to settle better in two recent hometown trials. HARDHAM (9) finished off strongly for third behind Russian Revolution at Caulfild last start over 1100m and extra 100m will suit.

Suggested bet: Blue Tycoon each-way.

Race 7: New Zealand Bloodstock Memsie Stakes (1400m)

Intriguing race. A lot will depend on whether the blinkers going back on CHARMED HARMONY (4) will see him revert to his free running self. If that’s the case he’ll put pressure on LORD OF THE SKY (3). From inside barriers both will work forward and set a fast pace. BLACK HEART BART (2) resumes after just being beaten in the Stradbroke. In five starts for Darren Weir he’s taken his game to another level with two wins including the Group 1 Goodwood and the Group 3 Victoria Handicap which he won over this track and distance just defeating Charmed Harmony. He also finished second in three Group 1 events. Stablemate MAHUTA (8) has been set for this race. He pulled up lame when sixth last start behind Miss Rose De Lago in the Lawrence Stakes. TARZINO (9) should finish off strongly.

Suggested bet: Black Heart Bart the win.

Race 8: Mypunter.com Heatherlie Stakes (1700m)

TOM MELBOURNE (9) has either been brilliant or woeful in his seven Australian starts with four wins and three shockers. Being set for big races so will need to hit the ground running to get his ratings up. Looked good when close second in Flemington jump-out. MAGNAPAL (4) won this race last year and judging by his recent effort when he finished off strongly for eighth in the Lawrence Stakes beaten just over two lengths he’s ready to make it two in a row. LONGERON (6) is a tough customer who will have a fitness edge on his rivals. Same for LORD DURANTE (12). TAIYOO (2), ALMOONQITH (1) and TALL SHIP (3) are smart stayers who are capable of winning this.

Suggested bet: Tom Melbourne the win.

Race 9: Ladbrokes Cockram Stakes (1200m)

OCEAN EMBERS (13) produced the fastest closing 200m for the day when she charged home to win over 1100m here last start. Drawn out but that should suit at the end of the day. DON’T DOUBT MAMMA (1) is a classy mare who also possesses a fast finishing burst. Should also be charging home. CHOOSE (5) is an underrated mare who likes Caulfield and should get a great on speed run. THAMES COURT (2) is a lightly raced promising mare resuming. ANDRASSY (11) loves this track and is racing well. EGYPT (15) has talent and is worth thought.

Suggested bet: Ocean Embers the win.
