MOONEE VALLEY (Thursday night)
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 90128
GRANE
Race 5, No. 3
Model of consistency who always races well at this track. Will drift back and power home.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50
CONOR WALSH (Black Caviar Scholarship winner)
FLAMBERGE
Race 6, No. 2
Underrated galloper who was tough saluting in the Oakleigh Plate when wide without cover throughout the race. He has drawn to get a soft run, handles the tight course and will appreciate some give in the track. He can give Peter Moody a dream swan song at generous odds.
TAB Fixed Odds: $12
JESSICA MOODIE (Black Caviar Scholarship winner)
GEE GEE RED PRINCE
Race 3, No. 5
Based on his Tasmanian form he is an excellent chance in this race. He has a good record on
a soft track and at this distance so should be right in the finish.
TAB Fixed Odds: $15

ROSEHILL
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 09880
DRAGON FLYER
Race 1, No. 6
Was second-up at Rosehill two weeks ago when a very unlucky third to High Midnight and Lofty’s Menu. Dragon Flyer was held up for a run from the top of the straight until near the 150m and got going late to claim the minor prize. He should be at his peak after two runs from a spell, he has been effective third-up in all three attempts, he is drawn to get the right run and is good value around the $6 mark.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 48950
HAVANA COOLER
Race 9, No. 9
Huge run first-up last campaign when charging home over 1800m. Trialled well and looks a big hope for the each-way players.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 82197
HEARTLINGS
Race 6, No. 14
Has the pedigree and profile to be most competitive in this company, despite being untried over the 2000m trip. Raced a touch flat at Kembla Grange over the mile journey last time but her effort behind Ghisoni in the Surround Stakes in course record time at headquarters, had plenty of merit.
TAB Fixed Odds: $31
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 20065
LADY LE FAY
Race 8, No. 10
Is a Listed winner in NZ that was sent to Waller by Waikato Stud to try and win an even better race to boost her stud value. I think that day is Saturday in the G2. Trialled pretty well before her 1350m Bm85 return on March, where she caught the eye working home late.
TAB Fixed Odds: $12
DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 42304
ZANBAGH
Race 8, No. 8
Racing well this campaign with close-up runs behind Solicit and Azkadellia. Golden Slipper-winning jockey Blake Shinn goes on and the mare will be charging home late.
TAB Fixed Odds: $8.50
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 11754
RISQUE
Race 6, No. 5
Finished third in the Australian Guineas and looks the right form for this after Tarzino and Jameka ran first and third in the Rosehill Guineas.
TAB fixed odds: $3.80
SIMON MOY (Superracing). Form: 5x713
RISQUE
Race 6, No. 5
Impressive at only two Australian starts, especially when making ground late behind Palentino and Tarzino in the Australian Guineas. That form looks pretty good.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.20
DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun) Form: 42x38
ALMOONQITH
Race 7, No. 3
Looks the forgotten horse of the BMW. A strong stayer who only hits his straps when out to 2400m and beyond.
TAB Fixed Odds: $13
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun) Form: 314x1
HATTORI HANZO
Race 5, No. 1
Has won his past three and there isn’t much depth here. Stable is flying and is very good with stayers. Just needs to knock off the favourite.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 98321
OUR IVANHOWE
Race 7, No. 1
Former import who placed in the Caulfield Cup over this distance in the Spring and looks an outstanding each-way bet third up from a spell.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.40

DOOMBEN
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 01149
RULING FORCE
Race 6, No. 1
Has been taking on much tougher opposition than this and acquitting himself well. Looks ready for the mile now and has the class to lump the big weight against this opposition.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7.50
BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: 01417
EMPHASIS
Race 1, No. 2
No massive value I hear you say? Well, a winner is a winner. Nice gelding who has run consecutive seconds, the most recent behind the impressive Soldier Of War. Happy to take on favourite I’m Belucci as the run in Sydney would have taken a lot out of his tank.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.30
BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 60136
LADY ATHENA
Race 1, No. 6
Doesn’t win out of turn but she really caught the eye when finishing off strongly over 1800m last time out. The step up to 2020m looks perfect and expect her to be finishing with a wet sail.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7
MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS
OAKBANK\
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 24365
GO DREAMING
Race 4, No. 1
Won this race last year and not disgraced in Adelaide Cup last time. Expect him to settle on the speed and take plenty of catching with the 3kg claim for apprentice Dylan Caboche.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
