ELDERFLOWER (Race 5, No. 4 – $2.50)
The Lindsey Smith-trained Elderflower is flying over short courses this time in. She scored easily, beating last Friday night’s winner Heavenly Bridges, over the 955m course last start and can complete a hat trick of wins.
NEXT BEST
MOSH MUSIC (Race 4, No. 2 – $3.90)
Hit her straps with a strong win at Sandown last time out, beating the subsequent Hobart Cup winner Double You Tee, and her record at The Valley is impressive.
ILOVETHEGAME (Race 7, No. 4 – $7.50)
Will be fresh for his outing at The Valley after chasing home the smart Ayrton at Caulfield at his last start on Boxing Day. He won a trial at Cranbourne on Monday, which showed he’s ready to run well on Friday night.
FOXY LADY (Race 8, No. 7 – $3.20)
Is probably a touch short at anything under $4 with the way she races but she’ll get her chance to break through third-up. She has chased well at both runs this time in and should be around the mark again.

REALLY SWISH (Race 3, No. 8 – $8.50)
Really Swish will have his first crack at the 2040m trip at The Valley on Friday night after a solid run over 1800m last start. He’s back to Benchmark 64 grade for this assignment ad can improve here.

Flemington will be the focus of the Melbourne racing scene with Saturday’s Lightning Stakes meeting while Bendigo will hold the day’s provincial card. The famous Buchan Cup picnic meeting will also be on Saturday. Colac and Moe will hold Sunday’s meetings. Racing returns to Stony Creek on Monday before Swan Hill hosts Tuesday’s fixture.
