Kah went into the feature with five wins from seven rides aboard the Tony McEvoy-trained galloper who looks destined for another successful spring campaign after an impressive return to racing.

“He’s a winner this horse, you can’t teach that,’’ Tony McEvoy’s stable foreman John Cornell said. “He’s a beautiful horse to train and he’s a real trier.

“He’s done nothing wrong this campaign and he looks set for another good preparation, he’ll go to Melbourne now.’

Dollar For Dollar jumped brilliantly from the barriers, sat outside race favourite Inn Keeper before putting his rivals to the sword on straightening to score by a half length and give Kah her third of four winners for the day.

Cornell said it was a special combination between horse and rider.

“It's a great partnership, Jamie and this horse, it’s brilliant,’’ Cornell added.

Adelaide’s premier rider was delighted to have one of her favourite horses back and winning.

“He makes me so emotional this horse, it doesn’t matter what sort of race he wins, he just puts his ears back and tries even harder when the pressure comes on,’’ Kah said.

“He’s the cheekiest little horse, no other horse gives 150 per cent.

“He’s come back amazing, I think he’s in for a good prep.”

Meanwhile, Cranbourne trainer Shawn Mathrick enhanced his already impressive strike-rate in Adelaide.

Eyres Rock kickstarted the big day when he led throughout with Paul Gatt in the saddle before Hell On Earth justified a big push in betting to score with Jason Holder aboard.

“I was a little bit worried as he’s not normally that forward,’’ Mathrick said of Hell On Earth.

“He’s got limited ability, but he tried every time he goes out.”
