TRICOLOGY (R1 No.5 – $2.25)

Short enough but unlucky not to win on debut and looks a better than average galloper in the making. Savaged the line to run second at Mornington last start. Primed to go one better.

NEXT BEST

SPANISH SNITZEL (R4 No.4 – $3.10)

Bursting to win after back-to-back third-placed finishes beaten less than a length both times. Drops sharply in weight with Maddie Lloyd’s 3kg claim.

SWEETZOU (R5 No.4 – $4)

Speed machine will be looking to win and run time in hot conditions at The Valley. Posted 55.40sec to win heat five last month. Curran (heat one) boasts the season-fastest time of 54.61sec.

VALUE BET

LADY ADELAIDE (R2 No.4 – $6.50)

Forget the filly went around last start, stranded too far back off a slow speed. Form prior strong enough to be competitive.

SACRED LEGACY (R7 No.10 – $9.50)

Lightly-raced four-year-old mare has won first-up the past two campaigns. Needs only to jump cleanly from the rails draw to be right in the finish.
