Having her last race start before going off to visit Russian Revolution. Could run right over the top if circumstances allow.

Half-sister to Wild Ruler by American Pharoah. Promising classic filly who will have taken plenty of benefit from her Goulburn debut.

Denman replica who really looked good in the late stages when winning a trial here at Scone on July 27.

THE INSIDE MAIL FOR SCONE

RACE 1

Don’t Doubt Katie is not a guaranteed starter but is on top if she happens to come. Has the best form and has trialled well. Miss Kono has raced at Scone three times for two seconds. The most recent of them was on July 25 where she led and passed late by the mildly handy Miss Kojii. Drawn well for this. Sammiballerini generates a good deal of interest. The daughter of Sebring makes her NSW debut having raced twice at Rockhampton, winning one easily and finishing a pretty close second at the other back in late April. In a smart stable; market watch advised.

Bet: Don’t Doubt Katie to win or if scratched, Miss Kono to win

RACE 2

The Mitchell Snail is trained here at Scone by Stephen Jones who was suitably bullish - and ultimately correct, about the Gerry Harvey-owned gelding on debut at Gunnedah. Sure, he didn’t by a lot but he was convincing at the same time. Should love Scone. Ezekeil is at least Highway standard and probably more this time in. The Cody Morgan-trained son of Divine Prophet turned in some really good runs last preparation. Just the weight and being first-up is the query. Makuba is a grand old campaigner; not many horses win a dozen races and still race well at his age (nine).

Bet: The Mitchell Snail to win, quinella 1,3

RACE 3

Dulcima is a regally-bred mare; her third dam is none other than the mighty Emancipation. This uber-flashy chestnut is back at the races after a truncated last campaign. The trial back on June 21 was an absolute ripper when second to It’s Me at the Brook. Dehero is a Ryan/Alexiou-trained daughter of Headwater who bounced into the winner’s stall at Canberra at just her second outing. Clearly looks to be on an upward trajectory and has the race fitness on a few of these others. Princess Amira has a big weight, even after the claim, but she is a handy mare on her day coming off a brilliant trial win.

Bet: Dulcima to win

RACE 4

Sumptuary is a daughter of Snitzel out of Royal Tithe who won the Ken Russell herself and is the dam of the stakes-winning mudlark, Royalzel. This Paul Messara-trained three-year-old has trialled up nicely in recent weeks and had the advantage of making her debut on familiar ground. Mrs Gloop is a Matthew Smith-trained granddaughter of the aforementioned Snitzel who resumes here off a really nice trial win at Hawkesbury. Drawn well and should be finding the line hard late over the 900m. California Touch has been disappointing in all three runs but he is down in class here and there is something there - maybe.

Bet: Sumptuary to win, quinella 5,14

RACE 5

Pavitra is a striking type by American Pharoah out of a Grade 1 USA performed mare named Gypsy Robin which makes her a half-sister to the Moir Stakes winner, Wild Ruler. This Richard and Will Freedman mare in the Kia Ora colours was just a bit too green on debut at Goulburn when fancied. You could find a few excuses for her that day; bound to be better for the whole experience. Rhythm Is A Dancer is a former Victorian housed gelding who is now a Scone local. Her trainer Brett Cavanough would no doubt have been pleased with her stable debut second here and the trial win after that. John Sargent-trained The Percentage will be fitter for his first-up fourth here last month.

Bet: Pavitra to win, quinella 4,14, exacta 14 to beat 4

RACE 6

Burraneer Buoy is a somewhat typical Denman and we know from experience that the breed invariably run well on debut. This Todd Howlett-trained gelding signalled as much with a very stylish trial win here at Scone on July 27. Has a future. Par Five is a Paul Perry-trained son of Pariah who turned in two eye-catching runs at his first campaign. The three-year-old seems to have come back in even better shape this time around judging on his two trials. Nice horse. Ditto some of that for the Jan Bowen-trained Borrowed Luck, also by Denman. Capezel is the best of the rest.

Bet: Burraneer Buoy to win, Par Five each-way, quinella 5,9

RACE 7

Tiempe Passate won’t be returning home to Tamworth after this, her last race. The daughter of I Am Invincible will instead be dropped off at Newgate where she will visit the Champion First Season Sire, Russian Revolution. There is every chance that this will be a glorious swan song for the Cody Morgan-trained mare provided there is a bit of speed on and she can sweep down the middle and over the top. If she is to win, the last horse she will likely to have get past is the All Too Hard mare Angela Sistina who is at the peak of her powers at present and might not have reached her ceiling yet. Gold Lunar is trained at Scone and has five placings from nine runs here.

Bet: Tiempe Passate to win, exacta 10 to beat 4

RACE 8

Leading Lady won’t be leading here if she sticks to pattern but she could be leading at the finish if she brings her best. The Paul Perry-trained daughter of Maurice has a decent C.V of two wins, two seconds and two thirds from 11 starts bearing in mind that she has been a tad unlucky at times. Won a trial at Muswellbrook on July 21 and will be strong late. Impossible to fault the Denman mare Rockbarton Ruby has had a win and three placings from her five starts. Better still, she has raced at Scone three times for a win and a second, all over this same distance. Honest as the day is long. Afewchoicewords was an easy last start winner at Tamworth. Lonely Power is an obvious contender.

Bet: Leading Lady to win, quinella 7,9
