LAY OF THE WEEK: KAPAJACK (Rosehill Race 6, No. 12)
MAGIC MILLIONS: LAING KNEW ROCK WAS WORTH $2M PLUS

CAULFIELD
RACE 7: 3.25PM LADBROKES ODDS BOOST HANDICAP (1440M)
Begood Toya Mother is exciting and looks well placed to carry on his winning ways. He grabbed the attention of the racing industry when winning by 6.5 lengths at Sandown two starts ago before handing the rise in grade with ease winning stylishly at Flemington as a hot favourite and he is again at $1.70.
Begood Toya Mother will no doubt be anchored through plenty of multi bets at the short odds.
I’m looking for a big run from Elite The runner I anticipate is worth including in the trifecta and quinella with the favourite is Elite Drake.
Elite Drake won well at Tatura in December last year and since then has not finished worse than fourth in four city runs.
SUGGESTED BET: BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER THE WIN.
RACE 9: 4.40PM CATANACH’S JEWELLERS HANDICAP (2000M)
Live And Free has been posted a $2.90 favourite in the last race at Caulfeld and does looks the one to beat. The current price of $2.90 is tight, I expect around $3.50 to be available on race day. The early money has been for Pacodali at $6.50.
Pacodali was heavily backed last start when he looked the winner at the 200 metre mark at his last start but faded late.
The runner who I anticipate will attract support is Observational, who won well at Flemignton two starts ago at big odds and should again be in the finish.
DOOMBEN
RACE 8: 3.35PM QUEENSLAND OAKS (2200M)
Princess Jenni is looking to continue the great recent record for favourite’s in the Queensland Oaks with Youngstar (2018), Egg Tart (2017) and Winx (2015) all winning.
Princess Jenni has won her past three starts including the Group 1 Schweppes Oaks last start and is clearly the one to beat.
She was a $4 favourite on Monday morning when the market was still ‘All-In” and was re-posted at $2.80 after coming up with barrier nine.
The danger in my eyes is another Victorian, Etana who the Group 2 The Roses last start against several of the rivals she will tackle here. Etana is a $5 second elect.
The longshot who should run well is On The White Turf from the Richard Freedman stable.
On face value she was disappointing last start when running a fading ninth, but she was a month between runs and for mine ridden upside down.
SUGGESTED BET: PRINCESS JENNI THE WIN.
RACE 9 4.15PM: P.J. O’SHEA STAKES (2200M)
The market has this race narrowed down to four clear cut chances.
Kenedna has been posted a $3.40 on the back of winning two Group 1 races at her past three starts including the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf at Randwick and the Group 1 Doomben Cup.
She deserves to be favourite and I anticipate punters will be keen to back her again.
The runner I am keen on is the $4 second elect Sixties Groove.
Sixties Groove has resumed from a spell by running third in the Hawkesbury Cup over 1600 metres and in the Doomben Cup over 2000 metres, he steps up to 2200 metres where has two wins and a second from three previous attempts.
One punter parted with $4000 on Sixties Groove at $4 before final field was announced.
Chris Waller saddles up the other two fancies Life Less Ordinary and Shillelagh.
