Popular Victorian jockey Dean Yendall was taken to hospital after a fall at Monday’s Terang meeting.
Yendall was dislodged from his mount Saintly Rose late in the Terang Co-Op Fillies and Mares’ Maiden Plate (1600m).
Paramedics assessed Yendall on the track before transferring the rider to a Warrnambool hospital.
Yendall was dazed in the incident while his partner Christine Puls reported the jockey was complaining of a sore wrist and elbow.
News Corp will provide an update on Yendall’s condition when more information becomes available.
The start times for the day’s remaining races were put back one race after the delay for Yendall’s treatment.
