Godolphin are ready to take on the world with star sprinter Bivouac with a trip to Dubai on the radar in the New Year for the dominant Darley Sprint Classic winner.
Trainer James Cummings believes his gun son of Exceed And Excel is capable of taking on the world’s best after the talented four-year-old surged away with his third Group 1 at Flemington.

A date with Dubai in March is poised to be his first overseas assignment before a likely assault on Royal Ascot in June.
“We like the idea of running him in the Lightning at Flemington and perhaps we take him to Dubai,” Cummings said.
“We haven’t completed those conversations yet and we have plenty of time to decide but we really like the idea that once we have a horse good enough to travel, we would like to do it.
“If we can travel this horse and put himself in front of Sheik Mohammed and show what the Australian breeding industry can produce with a horse of his speed and class then it would be a pleasure.”
A Group 1 in the Northern Hemisphere would undoubtedly add further value to Bivouac’s stallion resume with major victories to his name in the Golden Rose and Newmarket Handicap already on his resume.
His third Group 1 in Saturday’s VRC Sprint Classic was a reward for Godolphin, who elected against heading to stud early with their valuable breeding commodity.
The breeding and racing powerhouse was keen to chase the $15 million carrot of The Everest but have more big targets in the New Year.
“I would say part of it is there was a little bit of unfinished business with The Everest,” Cummings said.
“We wanted the opportunity to show how good he is.
“While he won two solid Group 1s as a three-year-old, we felt like there were a couple that went begging.
“The rain came on Coolmore day 12 months ago and he would have been favourite had the rain not come.
“We felt like there was more to offer from the horse and we don’t do it very often but he is the one to choose.”
