Champion racehorse Winx in full bloom with her first foal to I Am Invincible
The connections of champion Winx have given a shout-out to all the mums and mother’s-to-be, including their mighty mare, who is due to give birth to her first foal later this year.

Mum’s the word this weekend.
Winx is the world’s most famous equine mother-to-be and in an Instagram post on Thursday night, she is clearly looking happy ahead of the birth of her first foal later this year.
The people’s champion on and off the racetrack won her final 33 starts in front of packed grandstands, scenes miles away from the COVID-19-enforced empty bleachers on Saturday at Royal Randwick, where she produced some of her greatest performances.

Winx has been in foal to super sire I Am Invincible since December and is expected to give birth in October. Her first foal is expected to be worth nearly $10 million and a half-sister, who is by I Am Invincible out of Vegas Showgirl, will also be worth millions when born this spring.
Winx, the winner of more than $26 million in prizemoney, cleared the 120-day scan in March and the 25-time Group 1 winner — which includes four Cox Plates — is thriving in the paddock.
“We are all looking forward to seeing her blossom over the next couple of months,” her owners said in a statement. “We’d like to wish all mothers out there a happy Mother’s Day.”
