The early money has come for Godolphin stud Bivouac in the Group 2 The Shorts (1100m) with The Everest hopeful now outright favourite for the Randwick feature.
TAB.com.au opened Bivouac and The Everest bound sprinter Classique Legend as $4.20 equal favourites but that price was quickly snapped up by punters on Monday morning.
The James Cummings-trained Bivouac was quickly shortened into $3.80 for the $500,000 event.
Bivouac is Godolphin’s top seed for $15 million The Everest however the breeding powerhouse is yet to make a decision on which horse they will take with their slot.
The Exceed And Excel four-year-old has won two trials in preparation for his spring return.

The Les Bridge-trained Classique Legend is also first-up in the Group 2 test.
Kiwi star Catalyst is on the third line of betting at $5 for the sprint and will look to push his claims for a The Everest berth in his first Australian run this preparation.
Recent Group 2 Missile Stakes winner Eduardo ($8) and the Hawkes Racing-trained galloper Dirty Work ($7) are the only other runners in single figures.
A total of 14 horses have been nominated for The Shorts with the final field set to be declared on Wednesday morning.
Soon after all-in betting was posted on The Shorts the TAB took one bet of $3500 on Eduardo at $8 (now into $7) and $2000 each-way on Greyworm at $15/$4.11 (now $11).
Meanwhile, Chris Waller‘s star mare Verry Elleegant remains the early favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 George Main Stakes.
Verry Elleegant is set to take on a small field in the 1600m feature and is the $2.40 favourite.
Defending champion Avilius is a $4.60 chance to secure back-to-back victories in the race while Dreamforce is $6.
Waller‘s duo Imaging and Star Of The Seas are both at $8.
Hungry Heart is an even money chance to win the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes with Silver Shadow and Furious Stakes victor Dame Giselle ($3.50) also given a big hope.
