Blueblood racehorse ownership has now become affordable to everyone with MyRacehorse today launching their micro-share Super Stable which gives anyone interested in owning a horse the opportunity to get involved in a big way, but for a little outlay.
The Australian first will see prospective owners given the opportunity to buy a ‘micro-share’ in the Super Stable which will own 20 per cent of 26 exceptionally bred two-year-olds by top sires such as Written Tycoon, Lonhro, Fastnet Rock, So You Think and US Triple Crown winner American Pharaoh.
The other 80 per cent of the 26 horses will be 50 per cent owned by breeder Hesket Bloodstock and 30 per cent owned by the Spendthrift stud operation.
Through the micro-share concept owners will diversify their thoroughbred portfolio across the 26 horses for a one off cost of just $150 with no ongoing charges.
While shares in the individual horses may never deliver a life changing financial experience what it will deliver is a life fulfilling racehorse ownership experience, normally reserved for the leviathan owners in the sport.
With 26 horses in the Super Stable you are likely to have horses running most weeks when they get up and racing, and considering the quality of horses on the books there’s every chance you could be taking on same seriously big races along the journey.
Recently MyRacehorse has been in the spotlight offering micro-shares in individual horses including the Group 1 Thousand Guineas second favourite Mac ‘N’ Cheese, which is now fully subscribed.
In 2020 MyRacehorse customers experienced a massive high with champion US galloper Authentic winning both the 2020 Kentucky Derby and Breeder’s Cup.
Now though, instead of selling micro-shares in specific horses MyRacehorse is offering micro-shares in an entire stable numbering 26 horses, which will cover the full spectrum and include both colts and fillies, early 2YOs as well as late bloomers, sprinting types and also staying bred gallopers.
“The MyRacehorse Super Stable is the perfect articulation of our brand. We make ownership of elite horses more accessible at a one-off affordable price,” MyRacehorse CEO Michael Behrens said.
“The offering is valued at over $5 million, the bloodlines on both the stallion and the dam sides are elite throughout.
“The Super Stable is an exciting product to launch on the brink of the Spring Racing Carnival. Our hope is that it has a positive impact on racing fans to experience the thrill of racehorse ownership in not one but 26 regally bred horses.”
Owners will be able follow the journey of the 26 horses in the Super Stable from paddock to the track courtesy of regular updates from trainers, breeders and form analysts.
Other ownership perks including access to exclusive events where micro-shareholders can hear from, and meet the experts first-hand, mingle with other owners and experience the thrill of watching their horses on the track.
Owners also receive a proportionate share of any prizemoney and sale proceeds from their horse, making it an all-encompassing premium experience.
The $150 one time purchase of a micro-share in the Super Stable sees no ongoing training fees and gives shareholders a 0.001% stake in each of the 26 horses.
The 26 MyRacehorse Super Stable youngsters come from the highly prestigious and exclusive breeder, Hesket Bloodstock, and will be trained by the Group 1 winning team of Mathew Ellerton & Simon Zahra.
“It’s not often you get an opportunity to be involved with 26 quality 2YO runners in one go, so it’s really exciting to be involved.” Matthew Ellerton said.
“With the breadth and quality of the breeding pedigrees, there is a real diversity in the type of horse available and I expect some will be able to run early and give all those involved something to cheer about,” Ellerton added.
Some of the youngsters in the Super Stable include;
- Fastnet Rock x Limerock (filly)

“Some of these racehorses are first foals from Hesket Bloodstock’s first crop of racehorses, as well as first foals from broodmares bred between David and Jenny Moodie and Ashley Hardwick.
“We take great pride in our Thoroughbred racehorses and how they are raised on our farm at Yungaburra and are looking forward to sharing their racing careers with MyRacehorse and Spendthrift.”
Like MyRacehorse and Hesket Bloodstock the Spendthrift Australia operation is also bubbling with enthusiasm for the new Super Stable offering to the Australian racehorse ownership market.
“I am very excited by this partnership with Hesket Bloodstock, MyRacehorse and Spendthrift,” Garry Cuddy, General Manager, Spendthrift Australia said.
“David and Jenny Moodie are breeders I have admired for many years, it actually dates back to the first Golden Slipper I attended as an eight-year-old in 1996 when their horse Paint ran second to Merlene.
“Since that day I have followed their colours and watched them create pedigrees by racing generations of families with continued success and many of the pedigrees are included in this package which highlights the quality of bloodstock on offer.”
