It may only be a Pakenham maiden on a Thursday but there will be plenty of interest when a son of multiple Group 1 winning mare Jameka makes his debut.

Ciaron Maher is too busy to be nostalgic although blue blood colt Sir Bailey could be the exception.
The two-year-old son of Impending, out of Caulfield Cup winner Jameka, who Maher prepared for successful owners Colin and Janice McKenna, will debut in a 1200m maiden at Pakenham.
Jamie Kah is booked to ride Sir Bailey on Thursday.
“He’s ready to go, should be very competitive,” Maher said.
“He’s a big strong horse, a really good first foal and shows a bit of ability.”
Jameka won three Group 1s in a decorated career, including the 2015 VRC Oaks, the 2016 Caulfield Cup and the 2017 BMW in Sydney – the $4.8m prizemoney-winning mare’s last ever race.
“She was a beauty that horse,” Maher said of his sentimental favourite Jameka.
“Horses that get you going early in your career, she was such a good horse.”
Jameka was retired in 2018, with the McKennas going on to pay $2.6m to buy back the mare.
She went to Impending, a highly-rated son of Lonhro, the next mating season.
“Colin and Janice had to step up for a bit of money to buy the rest of the (Jameka) partners out so to get a first foal like that is phenomenal,” Maher said.
Sir Bailey, who was impressive winning a Cranbourne jumpout recently, is a $2.90 favourite with TAB to win on debut.
