See the full list of players who’ll be tested at the AFL draft combine 2025

More than 60 prospective draft talents will be pushed to the limits by the AFL ahead of November’s draft – but plenty of them are already tied to clubs. See the full list here.

Some 23 club-linked draft prospects are among 64 players who have been invited to attend the AFL’s national draft combine in October.

Five Gold Coast Suns Academy stars, four Sydney Swans Academy prospects and three Brisbane Lions Academy members are among those to earn an invitation to the event as the northern academies continue to churn out talent.

Among them are top-five draft prospects Zeke Uwland (Gold Coast), Daniel Annable (Brisbane Lions) and Dylan Patterson (Gold Coast), along with talented tall Max King (Sydney Swans).

Uwland – the younger brother of current Suns defender Bodhi – played his first game of the year in the VFL last weekend but some scouts still rate him as “the best player” in this year’s draft on the back of what he was able to produce as a bottom-age player in 2024.

The list of invitees also includes Carlton father-son prospect Harry Dean – who is rated by some scouts as a potential top-five talent – and Blues Next Generation Academy member Jack Ison.

Essendon NGA pair Adam Sweid and Hussien El Achkar – both considered to be top-30 prospects – have also been invited, as have Richmond father-son prospect Louis Kellaway (son of Duncan) and Western Bulldogs father-son prospect Will Darcy (son of Luke).

Darcy, a 197cm tall who is also the younger brother of current Bulldogs forward Sam, was not on a Coates Talent League list at the start of this year but has caught the eyes of scouts while playing school football for Scotch College.

Dyson Sharp headlines a group of 14 South Australian prospects firmly in the mix to be drafted, after the state claimed the title at the recent under-18 national championships.

A gun midfielder who can also push forward and hit the scoreboard, Sharp won the Larke Medal as the best player of the tournament to emerge as a potential top-five prospect this November.

Western Australia’s group of seven players includes West Coast NGA prospects Wes Walley, Tylah Williams and Kobe Evans.

A further group of 32 players have been invited to state draft combines, including Collingwood father-son prospect Tom McGuane and West Coast father-son prospect Charlie Banfield.

Melbourne father-son prospect Kalani White, who is also a member of the Gold Coast Suns Academy, has also been invited to a state combine.

The national draft combine will run from October 3-5, with players to have interviews with clubs at the MCG and physical testing to take place at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville.

The Victorian state combine will then be held on October 5, with state combines in South Australia (October 11) and Western Australia (October 12) scheduled for the following weekend.
