Sam Burgess’ fiancee Lucy Graham isn’t just another rugby league WAG.
Graham and Burgess, now engaged and preparing to have their first child together in a matter of weeks, reconnected after the former NRL star’s split from his ex-wife Phoebe Hooke.
But before setting her sights on the star forward, the 34-year-old pursued a career in fashion, beauty, and hairdressing, as well as a brief music career with pop group The Ultra Girls.
Alongside Laura Henderson, Lauren Green, and Amy Burrow, the Ultra Girls were once compared to the Spice Girls and were styled by Kenny Ho, who previously worked with the supergroup.
In 2009, The Ultra Girls participated in the sixth season of The X Factor but were eliminated by judge Louis Walsh, who chose Jedward over them.
In 2011, the group supported Kylie Minogue during the UK leg of her Aphrodite World Tour at London‘s O2 Arena.
The Ultra Girls released their debut single “Girls Will Be Girls” in April of that year, but the group disbanded after the song failed to attract the desired attention.
Sam Burgess has two children from his previous marriage, Poppy, four, and Billy, three.
In March Graham and Burgess, who began dating in 2022 and got engaged last month, confirmed they were expecting their first child.
A few months later, Graham shared photos of herself, Burgess and friends celebrating her pregnancy at a venue in Sydney.
The pair both hail from the UK, with Graham recently moving to Australia to start a family with Burgess.
