JAMES Slipper has returned fire at the former Queensland greats who have questioned the Reds’ courage.
Then, just as the red mist was disappearing from his eyes, the Reds prop let fly a pre-emptive shot at the New South Wales Waratahs ahead of Saturday nights inyetstate Super Rugby showdown at Suncorp stadium.
“I just don’t like NSW winning anything, “ Slipper said.
Former Queensland front-rower Stan Pilecki said the Reds failed to have a go at the weekend in their loss to the Western Force.

Slipper cited halfback Nick Frisby playing with a broken jaw and captain James Horwill bleeding for the cause as evidence to the contrary.
“To question our effort, motivation and will to play for the Reds jersey was upsetting,” he said.
“Ive heard some of the comments, from people I aspire to be ... its disappointing.
“Everyone wants to kick you when you’re down.”
The Waratahs have already locked up top spot while the Reds will be fighting for credibility after missing the finals.
