Here at the Paris Olympics, not all the hottest tickets in town are court or trackside.
For fans wanting the most exclusive on-the-ground experience, there’s only one place to be: Team USA House.
For the first time ever, the American clubhouse is open to the public who can buy a daily pass for 325 euros, or just under $550 a person.
Taking up residence at Palais Brongniart, built by Napoleon to house the Paris stock exchange, Team USA House sits loud and proud on the otherwise quiet surrounding streets.
Described to Paris Confidential as an airport lounge for athletes and their families, fans of any nationality can get amongst the action.
So what does access actually get you? Basically the ultimate insider experience.
As you enter there’s a USA Champs “On Locks” installation, where you can spot – and take a selfie with – a padlock bearing the signature of your favourite American athlete on the team. The one belonging to Simone Biles is already looking worn from the fan handling.
To the left sits a Team USA One For All photo station where it’s all about creating your best gifs for Instagram reels or retro photo booth print to share IRL (that’s in real life).
Credit cards get a workout in the retail space where you can buy all of the Ralph Lauren Team USA collection, including the moto jacket Beyonce wore recently on Instagram, which is part of the closing ceremony uniform.
For those more after memorabilia, the fanatics section is home to a wall lined with hundreds of Team USA pins and a New Era station where you can customise your own cap.
Refreshments are on tap at the upstairs Sports Bar or down in the massive pub-like food hall lined with dozens of screens for viewing and a stage for live music and NBC’s nightly Tik Tok Live.
Maybe the best is saved for those with a sweet tooth. The Team USA-themed Ralph’s Coffee pop-up serves their signature brownie and even a Ralph Lauren soft serve ice cream.
As Olympian finish their events, there will be the chance to spot your favourite athlete mingling amongst the crowd.
