The tiny 10-year old warrior is simply unbelievable and she’s getting ready to take over the world.
Hallee battles with spina bifida, a condition so severe her mother Christine was told that her daughter would never walk.
Good luck trying to tell Hallee that.
“When they say that I don’t listen to them,” Hallee told 7NEWS.
The youngster recently lined up at Queensland’s all-schools triathlon championships and nothing was going to stop her from crossing the finishing line.
“Her brain is affected, her co-ordination is affected, and obviously she’s got lots of muscles and nerves that are damaged,” Christine said.
“People are starting to see that she is capable of doing anything and everything,” Christine said.
The condition means Hallee has no feeling in her waist or below her knees, but that doesn’t stop her from diving into the water or competing in hurdles.
She currently holds six Australian athletics records and if that isn’t enough, she’s got her eyes on the Paralympics.
Unfortunately for Hallee at that level, there are no events she can compete in so her focus will turn to tennis and the triathlon.
“I love doing it, and it’s fun,” Hallee said.
Her infectious attitude and never give up spirit is a driving force for Triathlon Australia chief executive Tim Harradine.
“Every day. It gets me out of bed, it gets me to work excited,” he said.
Doctors told her mum she'd never walk but at the tender age of 10, pint-sized triathlete Hallee McCoombes is Australian champion. She also holds six national records in athletics, and look out world because she's coming for you next. @MichaelCoombes#7NEWSpic.twitter.com/OnGmN53GZN
