Expect to see Ryan Lochte at Tokyo 2020

CONTROVERSIAL Team USA swimmer Ryan Lochte sent the audience wild on “Hollywood Today Live” with this announcement.

WHO knows what he’ll make up in Tokyo?

Ryan Lochte confirmed on “Hollywood Today Live” Friday that he will compete in the 2020 games.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I will be there in 2020,” the swimmer, who got into hot water for telling tall tales about his Rio “robbery,” revealed to hosts Ross Mathews and Samantha Harris.

He added, “I’m taking my mental break from the sport. I have no time (because of ‘Dancing with the Stars’). When (the show) is all done, I’m going to finally go on a vacation with my fiancee and then I’ll get back into it.”

Lochte was caught in a huge controversy at the Rio Olympics in August after he lied about being robbed at gunpoint.

The US Olympic swimmer later admitted he should have been “more careful and candid” in explaining what happened.

“I should have been much more responsible in how I handled myself and for that am sorry to my teammates, my fans, my fellow competitors, my sponsors and the hosts of this great event,” Lochte said in a statement carried on Twitter and Instagram.

Lochte’s statement came as criticism of him poured in for causing such a huge and unnecessary distraction at the world’s premier sporting event, a competition watched by billions of people.

Lochte said he waited until now to speak out because he wanted to be sure the three other swimmers with him that night — Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen — would be free to leave Brazil.
