The Bulldogs and the Eels have emerged as the big winners after the NRL’s mid-season transfer window slammed shut on Monday.

Unlike other sports, where millions of dollars worth of talent are exchanged in a last minute frenzy, the NRL’s June 30 deadline came and went with just a little bit of fanfare.
