THE Tigers have sacked new recruit Taane Milne even before he had the chance to debut for the club after the centre was found to have broken the NRL’s Illicit Drugs Policy.
In a statement released on Friday night, the Concord club said Milne’s contract had been terminated due to a second contravention of the policy.
The first contravention occurred at another club.
The Fijian international joined the Tigers from the Dragons on a two-year deal.
“Milne has had a second contravention under the NRL’s Illicit Drugs Policy, the first contravention occurring at another club and this second infringement occurring at Wests Tigers.
His behaviour contradicts the values, behaviours and culture being created at the club,” the Tigers said.
