North Queensland forward Josh McGuire could face a charge at the NRL judiciary following an alleged eye gouge on Queensland teammate Cameron Munster.
Attacking the Cowboys tryline, a livid Munster reacted to the incident by pushing McGuire in the chest.
It appeared as though McGuire, a player notorious for his questionable onfield antics, made a clear attack at Munster’s face in the process of making the tackle.

‘He doesn’t like the drama. Cameron doesn’t want to go on with it. He thinks let it be. There’s definitely some fingers around the eyes...from McGuire,’’ Anasta said.
Speaking on Channel Nine commentary, former Maroons fullback Billy Slater played down the incident.
The complaint was retracted once he (Munster) had a chat to his father Cameron Smith,” Slater joked.
“It’s hard to see, but they’re great mates who have played for Queensland and Australia together, I wouldn’t read too much into it.”
The incident is likely to be followed up at the judiciary over the weekend.
