The NRL’s fastest man has sharpened his footwork even further in a bid to help Melbourne Storm win a second premiership in four seasons.
Speedster Josh Addo-Carr fired an ominous warning ahead of Sunday’s season-opener against Manly Sea Eagles, saying Storm has placed renewed focus on its attack.
“I’m really focused on winning another premiership down here,” Addo-Carr said.
“I’ve really focused on late footwork at the line, (running) hard and straight at players, some things I can bring into my game which is better for the side.
“If I’m playing good I can make the team better by doing the small things.”

Storm finished the home-and-away season last year with the best attack and defence in the competition.
But improvements in the off-season has buoyed Addo-Carr about the club finding an extra gear.
“Obviously our defence (last year) was really good, but I think we can improve our attack,” Addo-Carr said.
“We’ve worked really hard this pre-season on our attack, the halves have worked really hard together.”

Addo-Carr, who continues to get legal advice to settle a managerial dispute, has not put any serious thought into what club he wants to suit up for next year.
“I honestly thought I’d be around forever but I moved down here for my family and I’ve got to move back for my family,” Addo-Carr said.
“I love the boys down here, I just love everything about the club, it’s a very special club.
“I’ve got to put my family first and my kids first, I just want my kids to grow up with my family, I lost four family members last year in the space of three months.
“I can’t wait to be a dad again, I can’t wait to have a little son running around.”
