CRONULLA SHARKS

1. Valentine Holmes – 7

Ran well but made a crucial blunder for Cleary’s try

2. Sosaia Feki – 6

Solid as ever with some good carries from his own end.

18. Jesse Ramien – 5

Not a lot of clean ball but defended well for the most part.

4. Ricky Leutele - 5

Didn’t have a whole lot to do but tackle well.

5. Edrick Lee – 6

Enjoying some good form at the moment and took some tough runs.

6. Matt Moylan – 8

He’s played more spectacular games, but he’s never played tougher. A terrific outing in every aspect.

7. Chad Townsend – 7

In career best form. Crucial in the early onslaught and kicked the wonky winner.

8. Andrew Fifita - 7

Another very good showing. Lifted without Gallen.

9. Jayden Brailey - 5

Tackled like a mad man, as he always does.

10. Matt Prior – 6

A mixed bag. Was immense in his first stint but had some tough moments later on.

11. Luke Lewis – 8

Please don’t retire, Luke — you can still do it all.

14. Kurt Capewell – 4

Worked hard after he was handed the start.

13. Paul Gallen – 7

Had one of his best games of the season. They missed him when he was injured.

14. James Segeyaro – 6

Gives Cronulla spark around the ruck every time.

15. Aaron Woods – 6

He’s really hitting his stride right now but he gets involved with a lot of messy ruck situations.

16. Jayson Bukuya – 7

Added another point for his remarkable surge in the lead up to the Townsend field goal.

12. Scott Sorensen – 3

Cronulla were on the ropes when he came on and he tried to turn the tide.

PENRITH PANTHERS

1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak - 7

Letting a kick bounce must deeply offend him. All action, all the time.

2. Josh Mansour – 6

Tried hard to spark his team, even when they were on the ropes.

3. Waqa Blake – 4

We’ll never know what he was thinking late in the game. A rough one.

4. Tyrone Peachey – 6

Penrith looked good when he got involved.

5. Christian Crichton – 6

Busy, busy, busy but couldn’t hit open space.

6. James Maloney – 2

Had one of his worst days. Nothing worked, no matter how hard he tried.

7. Nathan Cleary – 7

Helped spark the comeback but he’ll think about that missed field goal all summer.

8. Trent Merrin – 2

Went off early and wasn’t sighted again, may have been injured.

9. Sione Katoa – 6

Threw a good ball for Yeo’s try but otherwise had a tough night.

10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard – 5

Tried hard but couldn’t make the game his own.

11. Viliame Kikau – 6

Was caught out defensively a couple of times but had a run for the ages.

12. Isaah Yeo – 7

One of his team’s best. Never, ever stops and his try was well deserved.

13. James Fisher-Harris - 6

Did everything he could to turn the tide in the second half.

14. Tyrone May – 3

Spelled Katoa for a bit.

15. Moses Leota – 6

Penrith did better when he came on.

16. Corey Harawira-Naera – 5

Ran some good lines and tried to fire up but couldn’t bust it open.

17. James Tamou – 6

Helped turn the tide in the middle of the match.
