Bradman Best has sent Wests Tigers fans into a frenzy with a cryptic Instagram comment that could be a potential clue on the destination of Penrith star Jarome Luai.
Luai posted a video about his appearance at the opening of Foot Locker Liverpool on Monday, to which Best replied with an emoji of a Tiger and wide eyes.
Best’s comment came a day after it emerged Tigers coach Benji Marshall visited the home of the three-time premiership-winner, who is in the final year of his current contract.
Intriguingly, both Best and Luai are both managed by ‘Black Money Enterprises’, prompting fans to further speculate about the future of the Panthers five-eighth.
Marshall confirmed to this masthead in his first interview since taking the head coach role that he was interested in luring the Samoan international to Concord.
“The amount of money he (Luai) is going to command is going to be quite big,” Marshall said earlier this month.
“He has earned that. But whenever a marquee player comes up you do have to have a look at them and whether you can afford them.
“The positive thing for us is we have signed three really good young halves too – Jayden Sullivan, Latu Fainu and also Lachie Galvin who no one has really talked about.”
Best himself has been linked with the Tigers, with the club ready to make the NSW State of Origin centre one of the highest paid centres in the league at over $800,000 a year.
The Tigers on Tuesday confirmed their list of train-and-trialists, which includes Josh Finau, Declan Casey, Reuben Porter, Samual Loizou and Nick Lui-Toso.
Rookie centre Tristan Reilly, who played three games at the back end of this year, and forward Brandon Webster-Mansfield were released by the club.
