Mitchell Moses has extended his contract with Parramatta, re-signing on a new, upgraded five-year deal that will keep him at the Eels until the end of 2029.

While the future of halves partner Dylan Brown remains uncertain, Moses has given the Eels a boost by agreeing to another year on his original contract, and removing the player options in his deal that would have allowed him to leave the club at the end of the 2026 season.

Instead, a Moses will now remain in the blue and gold for another five seasons, taking his tenure at Parramatta to 13 years.

It’s understood Moses, who was already on a deal believed to be worth $1.2 million a season, has received an improved contract to remove two exit clauses for 2027 and 2028, the same options that threaten to cost them Brown’s services at the end of this season.

Brown is the subject of a 10-year, $13 million offer from Newcastle and another unnamed club.

“Having a player of Mitch’s caliber commit the rest of his career to the Eels is fantastic news for his teammates, our partners, members and the entire Eels community,” Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill, said.

“Mitch has been in consistently good form for many years now but none better than 2024. The way he performed in Origin last year was outstanding and proved that he belongs in that arena.

“Being recently appointed captain continues the evolution of his development and is a very proud moment for him, his family and our club.”
