The Rabbitohs have produced a near perfect performance to cruise past the Sea Eagles, to qualify for Wayne Bennett’s tenth grand final appearance, winning 36-16.
With Adam Reynolds carrying a slight injury issue, it was Cody Walker and Damien Cook who stole the show, while rookie fullback Blake Taafe filled in admirably for the suspended Latrell Mitchell.
For the Sea Eagles there wasn’t a whole lot to love, with superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic falling short, and skipper Daly Cherry-Evans unable to build any real pressure. Fill-in centre Moses Suli produced some magic late in the game, but it was already done and dusted.
