League Central TV’s Loz and Dog Show: NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley talks interchange rules, Luke Keary and players at pubs

LEAGUE CENTRAL TV: The NRL’s new interchange rules have thrown a spanner into NSW’s preparations for this year’s State of Origin, with Laurie Daley admitting he has had to rethink his entire bench.

Loz & Dog: NRL Round One

NSW coach Laurie Daley will look to overhaul his bench as rugby league digests a reduction in interchange forwards.

“It is something we will look at very closely,” Daley said on League Central TV.

“I have tended to go with four form forwards on the bench but we will consider changing that philosophy and go with a utility player.

“The game is faster and Origin is played at breakneck speed.”

Manly’s Dylan Walker, Canberra’s Blake Austin, Penrith’s Matt Moylan and Canterbury’s Josh Reynolds could be considered.

Meanwhile, Daley also discussed possible halves pairings for the Blues in the wake of injuries and suspensions and the issue of NRL players at pubs.
