THE Warriors were among one of the most disappointing sides in Round 1 and tonight it couldn’t be any tougher for the New Zealand side as they face the competition favourites, the Broncos. at Suncorp.
The Sunday Telegraph’s James Phelps and Big League’s Matt Logue discussed the task ahead for the Warriors on Friday’s League Central TV.
It’s a chance for them to signal to the rest of the league that they’re “the real deal.”
“There were great stats during the week that at the start of the season the Warriors fire, then you get to origin period, you get hope, you fall in love their stats and results improve and then the back-end of the season it drops off again,” said Logue.
“That’s the big test for the Warriors, not to just perform during the Origin period when the rest of the sides are weakened and it doesn’t get any tougher than tonight against the Broncos.”
