The popular presenter was mortified when Johns ambushed her sharing photos of her dental emergency from earlier on Thursday.

The rugby league immortal was grinning like a naughty schoolboy as he slyly shifted a post-match discussion from a State of Origin subject to photos of Mason showing off her chipped front tooth.

Mason was in stitches as the Newcastle Knights legend pointed out her resemblance to Jim Carey’s iconic Lloyd Christmas character from Hollywood comedy Dumb and Dumber.

“It’s not the only injury news. There’s another major injury today,” Johns said from inside the Eels’ dressing room following the club’s surprise win over Cronulla.

“We have Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. Can we look at someone’s tooth that got chipped today?”

DM: Opening a bag of chips, a bag of corn chips with my mouth.

AJ: Hang on, hang on, hang on. Opening a bag of chips. What happened?

DM: I was using my hands and the it wasn’t opening, so then I used my mouth and my tooth flung off in the car and so I had to go to the emergency dentist today.

AJ: Kids at home don’t listen to aunty Danika. Use your hands. Don’t be impatient.

DM: Luckily I had a good dentist that was able to get me in at 11am.

AJ: Go on, say his name. Get a freebie.

DM: I actually need to go back. If anyone has a good dentist, hit me up.

AJ: What about the Channel 9 dentist? We’ve all got these fake teeth. You should have seen my bake bean teeth before I got this done.

Channel 9 host James Bracey then entered the broadcast from a studio at the venue, flashing his pearly whites.

Johns couldn’t resist having another dig.

“Kids at home look at James Bracey’s teeth. Ten elephants had to die for that,” Johns said with a laugh.

Bracey responded: “Lloyd Christmas’s long lost sister. That’s good stuff.

“Well done with that. Glad you’re alright. Good luck with whatever they have to do with it next.”

Fortunately for Parramatta, the injury news from on the field was mostly positive with star halfback Mitchell Moses putting the Sharks to the sword in his return from injury.

With Moses back in the side the Eels ran away with a with a much-needed 34-22 win.
