West Coast Fever goalshooter Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard has heartbreakingly suffered the loss of her baby.

Fowler-Nembhard, 35, announced in December she and husband Ashani were expecting a baby in 2025, a sibling for their daughter Drehannah – ruling her out of the Super Netball season.

Club West Coast Fever General Manager Sue Gaudion shared the sad news on Friday that the couple had lost the baby.

“It is with sadness and heartbreak that we inform the netball community that Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and her family have suffered the loss of their ‘Baby Fowler-Nembhard’,” Gaudion said.

“Everyone at West Coast Fever is utterly devastated for Jhaniele, Ashani and Drehannah. We are wrapping our arms around them during this incredibly difficult time.

“Our Club will continue to support Jhaniele and her family through the days, weeks and months ahead as they navigate this heartbreaking situation.”
