Super Netball is back for the 2022 season and there is more on the line than ever.

Not just the tag of premiers and title winners but for the Diamond hopefuls, a spot in Australia’s Commonwealth Games team.

On the eve of the fifth Suncorp season, News Corp asked its experts to vote for a list of the top 30 players in the league.

Amid fierce debate it was finally agreed that Firebirds shooting sensation Gretel Bueta is the rightful name to claim No 1 spot with fellow GS Jhaniele Fowler in second and Diamonds captain Liz Watson third.

The two NSW franchises were best represented with six players each in the list. Magpies, Vixens and Firebirds each had four, their West Coast rivals three, Lightning two and Shamera Sterling is flying solo for the Thunderbirds.
