MELBOURNE UNIVERSITY 3 GREENSBOROUGH 2
Melbourne University have staged a remarkable final quarter comeback to keep touch with the finals positions in the Victoria’s Premier League.
Coach Phil Burrows turned out to be the hero as his 67th minute strike, MU’s third goal in the final term, handed the home side the points.
Two goals in two minutes from Jack Webber and Paul Mackinnon had levelled the game with minutes remaining.
Greensborough appeared to be well in control of the contest after Daniel Mirecki and Jackon van Meeuwen gave the visitors a two-goal lead at the main break.
MU scored their final two goals from penalty corners.

The return of the Women’s Premier League hasn’t disappointed with Melbourne University and Greensborough playing out a thriller.
Rachel Knowles will arguably be the happiest MU player after she scored a late winner to secure her side a win.
Greensborough had opened the scoring through Courtney Rudd in the first term but Alice Matson’s strike levelled the game shortly after.
