Live stream: News Corp strikes deal to showcase Victorian Netball League (VNL) on KommunityTV

The Victorian Netball League (VNL) will be livestreamed on KommunityTV until the end of the 2025 season - and what a game we have first up to celebrate the new deal. See when your team features.

The tasty grand final rematch between City West Falcons and Geelong Cougars is first up after News Corp and Netball Victoria struck a landmark three-year deal to LIVE STREAM Victorian Netball League (VNL) games on KommunityTV.

The Falcons pulled off two massive finals victories over Geelong last year and their rivalry is the ideal way to kick off what is shaping as a big season.

The coverage includes three games each week - U19, Division One and Championship - from a designated match of the round.

The Falcons, who beat Geelong by two goals in last year’s thrilling Championship decider, have the honour of not only opening up the coverage on Sunday, March 19, but also featuring in the final round LIVE STREAM on Wednesday, July 18 against Casey Demons.

Netball Victoria Performance competition manager Stacey O’Neill was thrilled to be linking with KommunityTV for the second successive year.

“We’re excited to be continuing our partnership with KommunityTV and bringing VNL to new audiences in 2023 and beyond,” she said.

“As the state’s premier netball competition and a crucial step in the Victorian pathway, we know there’s significant appetite across Victoria to watch the talent on display in VNL.

News Sports Network managing director Michael Wilkins says the opportunity to partner with Netball Victoria was exciting.

The Falcons pulled off a big title win in 2022.

“KommunityTV has grown a strong portfolio of netball coverage over the past 12 months, and the Victorian Netball League has been at the forefront of that growth,” he said.

“Our coverage of the VNL last year was one of the first season-long partnerships signed by KommunityTV, and we are excited to connect with the Netball Victoria team again.

“To be able to announce this renewed deal off the back of International Women’s Day and the success of News Corp Australia’s first female and gender diverse sports series, Insight Sport, is quite fitting.
