2025 Dolphins Cup live stream: Emmaus College v St Brendan’s College, Round 4

Emmaus face a must-win Dolphins Cup showdown against powerhouse St Brendan’s in a triple header of schools footy. See how you can watch the three games live LIVE and EXCLUSIVE.

Emmaus will be up against it as they look to keep their Dolphins Cup hopes alive on Tuesday.

They face a red-hot St Brendan’s in the must-win clash and will do it without some key personnel, including their gun five-eighth Harri Meilland who suffered a broken thumb in the recent Confraternity Carnival.

The game, which kicks off at 5.30pm, is part of a triple header of schools footy action that you can watch live and exclusive on Kommunity TV.

The same two schools meet in the Dolphins Challenge at 3.30pm, while Emmaus will tackle North Rockhampton High in the NRL Schoolgirls fixture at 4.30pm. Watch all three games LIVE in the player above.

Emmaus has shown plenty in its opening Dolphins Cup games but is yet to get on the board.

Coach Mitchel Smith said he would have to make some positional changes and tactical adjustments due to the injury list.

“Everyone’s a bit disappointed with how we’ve gone; we’ve competed in all our games, we just haven’t won them,” he said.

“We need to win this one so it’s just a case of next man up.”

Smith said his forward pack, led by prop Jacob Murphy and lock Jack O’Neill, would have to match it with St Brendan’s, and fullback Lathan McMeekan and halfback Will McLaughlin would have to be at their creative best.

St Brendan’s coach Scott Minto said his troops were readying for a tough contest.

“I’m expecting them to come at us with everything they’ve got,” he said.

“Obviously, they need to win and when they’ve put periods together in games this year, they’ve been really strong.”

Defence has been the cornerstone of St Brendan’s performances, with the team conceding just five tries in six games in their third-place finish at the Confraternity Carnival.

Minto wants to see that steely effort continue.

“The biggest thing for us is to keep focusing on the little aspects that have been really strong,” he said.

“Everyone has taken ownership of their jobs and they know what’s expected of them.

“We’re going well as a side, which is exciting, but there’s a lot of improvement in us and if we can get more improvement out of this game against Emmaus, I will be stoked.”

Jake Symes has been outstanding for St Brendan’s.

Minto said his starting middles - Cooper Peirce, Brock Otto and Jake Symes - would have a big influence on the result.

“They’ve been very good to date, and they pride themselves on working hard in the middle,” he said.

“Our games have been won through that middle battle and this has allowed our ballplayers time to run our edges seamlessly.

“It’s a good dynamic at present and they will no doubt be aiming to galvanise this partnership further next week.”
