The sun was certainly shining on the Sunshine State as the semi-finals kicked into overdrive at the National Futsal Championships. RE-WATCH all of the Day 4 action from Pitch 1.

They might be 1000 kilometres away, but the mighty maroons are quickly making the Melbourne Sports Centre home.

Queensland were near on unstoppable on semi-finals day at the National Futsal Championships, winning through to the grand final in five divisions.

They left one of their best performances to last, with the maroons Under-14 Boys scoring a clinical semi-final win over rivals Football SA.

The Queensland side never looked troubled throughout the clash, cruising home to a 5-1 win.

It capped off a dominant day for the Sunshine State which also included semi-final wins in the under-12 boys, under-13 girls and Athletes With A Disability divisions.

The perfect day was all kicked off by the under-12 boys side who were unstoppable in a scintillating second-half display against Country NSW in their quarter-final.

NSW Country scored the opening goal of the game in the third minute from a long goalkeeper throw that went in from an easy tap in.
From there, it was all Queensland who banged in the next four goals to lead 4-1 at halftime.

In a high scoring affair, Queensland ended up taking a 10-4 win to progress through to the semi-finals with some handy momentum.

Meanwhile, a goal in the first 13 seconds of the match was the perfect start for NSW Thunder who came out 3-1 victors over NSW Lightning in the U15 girls competition.

After the fast start, Lightning bounced back with a goal to level the scores before Thunder scored again to make it 2-1 at halftime.

It was a gritty finish to the game as an aggressive Lightning side, trailing by a goal, threw everything at Thunder in attack.

But Thunder proved the better side after all, scoring from a turnover in the 37th minute to ice the game.
