REPLAYS: Football Australia Girls National Youth Championships, Field 4, Day 5

Football SA claimed ninth over Capitol Football in the final game of the day, which was moved from Field 5 to Field 4. Check out the REPLAYS of the day.

South Australia ended it’s campaign on a high, securing ninth position in under-16 over Capitol Football.

The Croweaters were able to win 2-0, which was their second victory of the tournament.

This match was originally meant to be held on Field 5 but was moved to Field 4.

It was one of three games on the field during the day.

Earlier, Tasmania won’t leave the Football Australia Girls National Youth Championships in under-15 empty handed after securing it’s first win of the tournament over NSW Country.

The state team hadn’t won a contest during the tournament and lost 1-0 earlier to the same team.

But Sunday was their day, securing a reverse result, 1-0, to secure an elusive win.

A strike from outside of the box in the 10th minute of the second half was the difference.

Tasmania will now wrap up their campaign on Monday against Capitol Football who defeated Queensland Silver 2-0.

Two goals in five minutes, just after half time, allowed the ACT team to secure what was a comfortable win in the end.

Bonnie Young and Phoebe Gordon scored the goals.

Queensland Silver will wrap up their campaign against NSW Country in the other game on Monday.

Impressive winners over Tasmania on Saturday, Queensland Silver will be out to continue their strong finish to the U15 Football Australia National Youth Girls Championships campaign on Field 4 on Sunday.

Despite being out of title contention, Queensland Silver hit their best form of the tournament in disposing of Tasmania 3-1 on the back of goals from Sofia Zervos, Adriana Palombi and Tanisha Winstanley.

Next up is Capital Football who were held to a 1-1 draw by NSW Country on Saturday.

The abbreviated day ends with Tassie searching for their first win of the tournament against NSW Country. The two teams met earlier in the tournament, where a goal from Charlie Cramp settled a tight affair.

The boys tournament will also be exclusively live streamed from July 16-21.
