Some of the most exciting young footballing talent across Australia and New Zealand are set to shine at the 2024 Sydney International Cup.

The invitational end of season competition aims to showcase boys and girls teams from under-8s to under-12s in a professional environment.

Teams from across Sydney, the Central Coast, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and even from Christchurch in New Zealand will converge on Cromer Park, Manly for the event from October 4-7.

For its 11th edition this year, SIC has partnered with KommunityTV to stream over 200 matches from fields 3 and 4 across the four-day competition.

Matches will be seven-a-side and run for 25 minutes, with any games ending in a draw to head straight for a penalty shoot-out to decide a winner.

Former A-League player Daniel Georgievski has brought teams from his Stella Football Academy for the past few years and said SIC is a great experience for young players.

Vision Football Academy will be back to defend their title.

“It helps to teach them resilience,” Georgievski said.

“It’s good to see what’s out there, quality wise, with other teams and players.

“The kids really enjoy it, even when they lose it’s all just part of learning.”
