2025 Emerging Matildas Championships live stream: Watch Day 2 action from all fields

Two big wins, and a star making performance from a South Australian young gun, were among the headlines on day two of the Emerging Matildas Championships. Watch all the REPLAYS here.

South Australia produced the strongest of responses on day 2 of the Emerging Matildas Championships to get their title aspirations back on track.

The Croweaters U15 outfit were the stars of the show on day 2 at Sydney’s Valentines Sports Park, knocking off Tasmania in a big 5-1 victory.

It was the perfect response after going down 3-1 to Northern NSW on Tuesday.

Ruby King was the difference for the victors, with the South Australian attacker booting four goals in the win.

After their own big win on Tuesday, Western Australia failed to back it up with a 0-0 draw against Victoria Blue, also in U15 action.

In a clash where both sides had their chances, neither could find the back of the net thanks to some strong defence at either end of the field.

The other big result on Tuesday was Tasmania’s upset 3-1 win over South Australia in the U16 division.

RUBY IS THE GOAL KING

If there was one player on day two that stamped their name as a future star to watch, it was South Australia’s U15 attacker Ruby King.

The young gun was the star of the show in the Croweaters big 5-1 win over Tasmania, turning the game back in South Australia’s favour.

It was a tough opening 25 minutes to the game for the eventual victors, with Tasmania producing an early goal through Eve Swan and South Australia unable to find a response despite multiple attacking displays.

But King was able to turn that around when she found the back of the net with a classy turn and shoot inside the box to tie the game at 1-1 heading into halftime.

Some poor defence from Tasmania early in the second-half then allowed South Australia the chance to take the lead, with Ella Carvalho converting a penalty.

A blistering run down the attacking left side from Aleesha Gray then allowed King the chance at a second, with Gray’s pass into the box and King’s touch just as good.

She found the back of the net a further two times on the run home, with her decision making and ability to find herself in the right position to attack a true highlight of her performance.

MAROONS LOOK AN EARLY FAVOURITE

While we may only be through two days of action, one side that has well and truly stamped themselves as a championship favourite in the U15s is Queensland Maroon.

That’s thanks to a massive 6-0 win over Victoria White on Tuesday, backing up their hard-fought 1-1 draw against NSW Navy on day one.

It was as clinical a performance as they come from the Maroons, taking just over 90 seconds to open their account.

A goalkeeping blunder opened the door for Zahra Ahmed to score, with a beautiful cross the catalyst for the early goal.

Victoria did well to withstand the early momentum created from Ahmed’s goal but that all came undone with another goalkeeping blunder allowing her the chance to once again hit the scoresheet.

And while her goal wasn’t anything that will be remembered, her backflip celebration well and truly will.

The 2-0 halftime Queensland lead quickly became 6-0 at the final whistle, with a dominating second-half a scary proposition for any side that faces the Maroons later in the tournament.

PREVIEW

Western Australia’s under 15 outfit will be hoping to keep some early momentum going when day 2 of the 2025 Emerging Matildas Championships kicks off on Wednesday.

After securing one of the biggest wins on the opening day of the tournament – a 4-0 thumping of New South Wales Country – the girls from the west will face another big test against Victoria Blue.

That match will kickstart the action on Field 3 from 10am, with 11 other matches to be streamed live and exclusive across three fields on KommunityTV.

KommunityTV will exclusively live stream every match of the championships from July 15-20.

It was a dominating performance from the Western Australian girls, who were never really challenged on their way to what could be remembered as a tournament defining win.

In other match-ups on day two, it will be an all New South Wales battle when Northern NSW and NSW Sky meet in back-to-back matches on Field 2 from 10am.

They’ll clash in 15A and 16A action.

Tasmania and South Australia will also be featured in the early kick-off on Field 1, meeting in 15A and 16A action.

Every match of the Emerging Matildas Championships will be broadcast live and exclusive from July 15-20.

For the second straight year KommunityTV and News Corp Australia have partnered with Football Australia to bring the nation’s flagship underage national championships to life on the small screen.
