When two Panthers come together only one will emerge dominant and on this occasion it was South Adelaide to triumph in the battle of the big cats at the Basketball Australia Under-14 Championships.
The South Australians outclassed their New South Wales rivals in every facet of the game on Court 9 as they established a 31-point lead at the half before extending that to 49 points at the final buzzer.

Penrith refused to shirk the task, but the 80-31 scoreline was a fair indication of the chasm between the two teams.
Keilor Thunder has pulled off a massive comeback to run over the top of the Northside Wizards in the opening contest on Court 5.
Down 11 points at three-quarter-time, the Keilor boys stormed back to comprehensively outscore the Wizards for a stunning 52-45 victory.

It is one of the key questions heading into a big second day of action at the Basketball Australia Under-14 Championships.
The Penrith Panthers and South Adelaide Panthers girls will go head-to-head in a massive opening clash on Court 9 on Monday.
It’s not the only headline clash on Court 9 with boys Pool B frontrunners South West Metro Pirates and Norwood Flames clashing to determine who finishes the pool stage on top, while the Bankstown Bruins girls, Northside Wizard boys and Cockburn Cougars boys will all be in action.
Big opening round winners Forestville Eagles will be back in action on Court 5 when they close out the day’s play against the Bankstown Bruins.
The Eagles started the tournament off with a flurry of points against the Tassie Kangaroos and will be determined to book their spot in the Championship division.
Fellow opening round winners Ipswich Force will be out in full force on Monday when they take on the Willetton Tigers girls.
