DASH DANIELS (Vic Bushrangers)
The brother of Australia’s newest NBA star, Dyson, the young guard is making waves of his own. Last year, Daniels wore green and gold for the first time and made a strong impression on the national stage. A pass-first playmaker who will look to create for teammates but can score big with needed.
LUCY AHERNE (Tasmania)
Was a part of the under-14 team who did well at the last Country Cup in 2020. Aherne has played for Tasmania several times at the nationals championships and is about to head into a national development camp once the tournament finishes.

Been involved in a lot of NSW pathways and just missed the NSW team for this tournament. He’s a point guard, who is smart and knows how to play the game well.
TASSIE YOUNG GUNS ‘EXCITED’ FOR LONG-AWAITED CUP CHANCE
JACKSON BOWDEN (South Australia)
A guard who has recently been in an Australian camp as a player of the future. Plays the 2-3 position and will be a key part of the South Australian under-18 team.
BRADLEY BALLINGER (New South Wales)
A guard or small forward who has the ability to score outside but also the ability to put the ball on the floor and in the basket inside. Will be one of the leaders in the under-18 Kookaburras team.
JOSH BOYLE (New South Wales)
Made the under-16 state team last year as a bottom ager. A point guard who is athletic and plays the game quickly. Has the potential to score and can defend as well.
JADE CROOK (New South Wales)
A tall centre from Albury who has been compared to Lauren Jackson. Crook did some training with Lauren last year and has had opportunities to play overseas already as well. A bottom age player in the under-18 team.
JOHNTY DYNAN (Tasmania)
Can play on the inside and outside and the Tasmanian team is excited about what he can do. The under-14 player represented his club in Tasmania at the nationals last year and impressed. Is a top age player in his age group this year.
JACOB FURPHY (Tasmania)
A versatile player who can play in any position. Part of the Australian under-17 team who went to the World Cup. Furphy is an experienced player who will provide lots of leadership to the team.
JACK HAGGETT (South Australia)
The Millicent-based player is a forward who plays in the 3-4 position. He’s been in the national camp recently and represented South Australia Country at last year’s nationals.
SIENNA HARVEY (Victoria)
The young guard’s ability was highlighted when she was invited to join the Centre of Excellence in Canberra. Harvey’s playmaking skills come at a high level but she has a trusty shot as well.
AUDREY HOGG (Albury Wodonga)
Also missed out on selection, narrowly, for the New South Wales team. She’s a forward, who is a really good shooter and, according to the team, just needs some games to find her best form.
MIA HARVEY (Victoria)
Another young gun out of Bendigo’s rapidly improving basketball program. The guard has a fantastic ability to score big.
ELKA HUTTON (Tasmania)
The under-14 player represented her club as last year’s nationals. A talented junior who is expected to lead the team during the Country Cup.
LACHLAN KANNGIESSER (Vic Bushrangers)
Another young gun who had the privilege of representing Australia last year. The Mornington product is a star on the rise and a player to keep an eye on in coming years.
HARRISON KEATING (Victoria)
From Rochester, Keating has plenty of length to be able to impact games at both ends of the floor.
SIENNA LEHMANN (South Australia)
Just come back from the national team who competed in the under-15 Oceania titles in Guam, winning gold. She’s a promising young player who will play in under-18. Lehmann plays as a guard and is versatile around the court.
LIZ MURPHY (Albury Wodonga)
The Wodonga under-18 player is one to look out for in the girls team for the upcoming tournament. She is part of the Victoria state development team and recently played for Wodonga in under-18 at the state titles.

Another Croweater who has been part of national camps recently for Australia. Thompson, who hails from Port Augusta, is a speedy player with plenty of athleticism and terrific ability to read the play.
