While Canberra powerhouse Lake Ginninderra College might be stealing headlines in the Championship divisions, their nation’s capital counterparts have been quietly going about their business to book a semi-final berth.

Erindale College closed out the action on a thrilling day three at the Australian Basketball Schools Championships with a dominant win over rivals Somerset College to cement themselves among the top four in the Under-20s Mens Division 3.

It continued an undefeated run at the championships for the Erindale College side, who have been led by the scoring prowess of Tarik Ezzat (23.33 points per game).

In Wednesday night’s other under-20 men’s quarter-final Fairhills High School outlasted a willing Northern Beaches Secondary College to also ink their spot in the semi-finals.

It capped off another blockbuster day of action at the championships including several thrilling quarter-finals in the U17 division one girls.
