PREVIEW: Intriguing battle looms as survival on the line
VAFA fans are in for a real treat when Caulfield take on Melbourne University in a make-or-break Women’s Premier League semi-final.
The game will be streamed on KommunityTV from 10.50am on Saturday and is sure to provide a intriguing contest.
Both teams come into the game following close encounters last week in two tightly contested, low-scoring first finals.
On a windy day, Caulfield fell short by two goals to Kew while Melbourne Uni defeated West Brunswick by a goal.
The last time these two sides met, Melbourne Uni won by 23 points, with Asha Price kicking four goals to power her side to victory.
Earlier in the season however, it was Caulfield getting the win by 42 points where Chloe O‘Malley dominated with a bag of five goals.

Price and O’Malley are equal on 24 goals each for the season, the second highest in the league.
Price, however, did not feature in Melbourne Uni’s win last week but stands a chance to make a return from a sprained ankle.
Melbourne Uni captain Emma Delaney said they were waiting to see how Price recovered from training before deciding on her availability for the game.
“It would be good to have her back, hopefully she can play,” Delaney said.
“She did most of the session yesterday so I am hoping that’s good sign.”
Melbourne Uni are continuing a stunning comeback from Premier B’s last season after they were relegated in 2019.
Delaney said the turnaround from last season has been awesome.
“I think it’s a testament to the club and how professionally the club is run, as well as the coaching staff and the players,” she said.
