Friday night: THE VALLEY (8 races, start 6.15pm). Saturday: ROSEHILL (10 races, 11.55am), TOOWOOMBA (9 races, 1.13pm), MORPHETTVILLE PARKS (9 races, 12.57pm), BELMONT (9 races, 2.19pm). Sunday: SANDOWN (9 races, 1pm). All times EST

THE VALLEY (Friday night)

BRAD WATERS (Racenet)

ASFOORA (Race 5, No.8 – $2.30)

Asfoora was a dominant first-up winner at Sandown earlier this month. She’s Group-placed and should be hard to beat again.

Value bet: GLINT OF HOPE (Race 8, No.8 – $14)

GLENN McFARLANE (Herald Sun)

ASFOORA (Race 5, No.8 – $2.30)

Smart mare building an imposing record who was breathtaking at Sandown first-up.

Value bet: SKETCHED (Race 1, No.6 – $13)

SIMON MOY (NewsRacing)

TIJUANA (Race 4, No.4 – $2.70)

Barrier only concern after strong performance at Flemington last start when narrowly beaten.

Value bet: I’MLOVIN’YA (Race 2, No.6 – $12)

NICOLE THOMAS (TAB)

ASFOORA (Race 5, No.8 – $2.30)

Dominant win first-up at Sandown, ran an excellent third in the Kevin Hayes Stakes before the break and should be winning this.

Value bet: TROACH (Race 2, No.4 – $9)

ROSEHILL

RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph)

BEST OF BORDEAUX (Race 6 No.1 – $2.25)

Best Of Bordeaux showed a return to form last start when he led early and held on for second behind boom filly In Secret in the Run To The Rose. Best Of Bordeaux’s owners flirted with running in the Golden Rose over 1400m but elected to stay at the sprint distances with the Heritage Stakes over 1100m. This gifted sprinter looks too good for his rivals.

Value bet: DALCHINI (Race 7 No.11 – $31)

MATT JONES (Daily Telegraph)

RUSTIC STEEL (Race 9, No.7 – $7)

He returned in eye-catching fashion when not getting much space in the straight before hitting the line well. He should only be better now over more ground.

Value bet: SEJARDAN (Race 8, No.4 – $21)

ADAM SHERRY (Sportsman)

OLD FLAME (Race 9, No.11 – $5.50)

The Team Snowden-trained five-year-old import resumed from a spell with a gutsy win here in late August. Scratched from last week’s Cameron Handicap and looks well placed here a half kilo above the limit.

Value bet: KATALIN (Race 7, No.13 – $13)

TOOWOOMBA

TRENTON AKERS (Courier Mail)

FLYING CRAZY (Race 8, No.3 – $4.80)

Won in better grade than this early in the winter carnival and returns to Queensland where he has drawn perfectly to get the run of the race.

Value bet: DON’T STOP (Race 5, No.1 – $9)

SANDOWN (Sunday)

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Racing News Editor)

MILITARY EXPERT (Race 8, No.9 – $4.80)

Had track conditions in his favour last start but still won eased down and appears to have a lot more upside.

Value bet: ANGRY SKIES (Race 4, No.9 – $8.50)

TAB odds correct at time of publishing.
